About LKS

I try to keep life simple, but don’t often hit it. It’s a pipe dream that I come back to again and again. My daily mantra is something like this:

Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly… Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

I raised my family in the time when there were battle lines drawn between women staying home or working. I hope I found a balance. I admire all women who believe in what they do and don’t allow others to place limitations on them.

My job:

I’m the CEO of TicketForce, best described as an organically-grown ticketing company that plays with the big boys every day. Giving people a happy place to go to work every day is a good reason to get up in the morning. I work with my husband, Brad, who is the perfect partner and is good at everything I’m not.

My stats:

Married for 31 years to my best friend in the world, and hoping for 50 more.

My three adult daughters are stunningly beautiful, inside and out and always amaze me. They give me hope for the future.

My interests:

I live in an English cottage in a trendy little neighborhood in a very suburban area just outside of Phoenix. Sometimes, I can’t stand the perfection of it all, but it’s absolutely easy living, pretty to look at, and an amazing place to be. I have a community garden plot, like to home-can food and bake from scratch, and hope to add chickens to the mix soon.

I really do believe that my 3 drinks of choice – black coffee from a press, green tea and red wine – are good for me. I buy and drink wine as a hobby, to unwind, and because a good glass of wine makes life a little more beautiful.

I’m a person of deep faith, love liturgy, but cannot tolerate the religious bickering and judgment that is dominating the conversation right now.

Finally, for reasons no one really knows, I wish my name were Audrey King.
